Roger Lee Clark

Roger was a 20-year veteran of the US Air Force, retiring in 1982. After his Air Force service, he worked for US Army Civil Service for 14 years in Fairbanks, Alaska. After moving to Middleburg in 1998, he went to work for Trinity Services Group in 2000, first at the Clay County Detention Center in Green Cove Springs, Florida and later at the St. Johns County Detention Center in St. Augustine, Florida and retired in 2013.

Roger was born in Buena Vista, Virginia, on March 18, 1945, the eldest son of Richard Myers (Doc) Clark and Margie Marie Mason Clark. He was predeceased by his parents.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Carole Elizabeth Gerwitz Clark and his son, Richard S. (Doc) Clark (Karen) of Helotes, Texas. Three grandchildren: Summer C. Clark, Helotes, Texas, Kathryn G. Clark and Alexander J. Clark, Atascosa, Texas.

Roger is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Marie Henson (Frank), Powhatan, Virginia; Danielle Ellis (John), Houston, Texas; James Clark (Vicky), Middleburg, Florida; Carol Sue Hatcher (Henry), Lexington, Virginia; Dennis Clark (Linda), Richmond, Virginia; Dwight Clark (Becky), Richmond, Virginia; Kathy Gatewood (Monty), Richmond, Virginia; Page Clark (Donna), Jacksonville, Florida. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
