Aida I. Garcia-Fradera

She was born on May 27, 1915, in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, to the late Luis Garcia and Louisa Hernandez Garcia.

She married Eddie Thomas Fradera in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Mr. Fradera passed away in 1954.

Mrs. Garcia-Fradera worked as a legal secretary in a bank in Puerto Rico for many years.

She moved to Charlotte in 2004.

She attended St. Luke Catholic Church in Mint Hill, NC, when her health permitted.

Survivors include two children, Heida (William) Rollins, Mint Hill, and Edgardo (Jean) Fradera, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, 7 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

Her family will receive friends on Friday, May 13, 2011, from 10-11 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, 13700 Lawyers Rd., Mint Hill, NC, immediately followed by her Memorial Mass. The Reverend Paul Q. Gary will be the celebrant. Interment of her cremated remains will take place in Puerto Rico at a later time.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, one grandson, six brothers, and four sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Luke Catholic Church, 13700 Lawyers Rd., Mint Hill, NC 28227-6517.
