Mrs. Berry, age 66, of Charlotte died Sunday, February 4, 2018 at her home. Born July 12, 1951 in New Bern, NC. She was the daughter of the late James Newby and Sylvia Lee Bryant. Mrs. Berry attended Central Piedmont Community College and was employed in early childhood education.
The service to celebrate the life of Dorothy Bell Berry will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, February 10th at Gethsemane AME Zion Church with Reverend David Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
To cherish her memory she leaves behind her husband of 43 years, Ray Edward Berry; four daughters, Deddra A. French, Shenetta D. Thompson (William) Turkessa N. Hadley (Leonard) and Raechelle A. Petteway.
