Jack Edward Buchanan

His family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, at University Hills Baptist Church, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 P.M. at the church. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

Born March 24, 1929 in Ledger, NC, Mr. Buchanan was a son of the late Brown Edward Buchanan and Zola Mae Pitman Buchanan. He was a U.S. Navy, Korean War veteran and a member of University Hills Baptist Church. Mr. Buchanan retired from Mitchell Distributing Company after 40 years of service. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Betty Buchanan; two daughters, Debbie Little and husband, Barry, and Angie Wilder and husband, Mike; three grandchildren, Kyle Wilder Wyatt Little and Courtney Wilder; and three sisters, Billie Jean Westerman, Jo Ann Edge and Judy Liefield.

The family offers their most sincere appreciation to the staffs of Hospice of Cabarrus County, and Carillon Assisted Living for their care and compassion.
