He was born on Dec. 24, 1949, in Charlotte, NC, to the Millard “Jack” and Rhoda Huntley Butler.
He worked in the telecommunications industry for thirty-two years.
Survivors include his daughters, Kimberly Butler, Suffolk, VA, and Stephanie O’Regan, Virginia Beach, VA; his mother, Rhoda Huntley Butler, Charlotte; and four grandchildren: Michael Ty O’Regan, Nicholas Butler, Riley O’Regan, and Kayden Mann.
His family will receive friends on Thursday, August25, 2011, from 10-11 a.m. at the McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC, followed by his memorial. Reverend Lee Davis will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Michael Butler.
