Janet was born on July 22, 1931 in Canandaigua, New York to the late Charles and Florence McCarty. She was one of two daughters; her sister, Phyllis Zimmermann survives her. Janet spent many years of her life running the "Ketch Krest Dairy Farm" in Bath, New York.
Janet was a huge NASCAR fan and had many friends she called her race family. She also had a love and passion for roller coasters; even into her late 80's, she was riding the biggest, fastest and most exciting coasters. Janet also loved to dance.
Janet was predeceased by her son, Jeff Ketch and grandson, Petey Ketch.
She is survived by her children, Brad (Pat Buonodono) Ketch, Holly (Charlie) Prevatte, Kym (Mark) Aldridge, Terry (Cyndi) Ketch, Dawn (Mike) Galuska, Brian (Marilyn) Ketch and Peter Ketch; grandchildren, Jessica Buonodono, Emily (Scott) Power, Cole and Cali Ketch, Cassandra (Austin) Bramble and Billy Crist; great grandchildren, Michael Toby Mears, Braelyn Ketch, Jackson, Grayson and Emma Power, Madison and Anderson Bramble.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that an act of kindness, such as Paying it Forward, a friendly gesture, or a helping hand be done in memory of Janet.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Janet on Sunday, March 20th, 2022 at 10:00am at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia.
