He is preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Paralee D. Stout and his wife of 37 years, Margaret Stout; brother, Ken Stout and daughter-in-law, Cynthia Stout.
John is survived by his children, John A. Stout (Annette), Stephen C. Stout and Jennifer P. Barker (Jeff); grandchildren, Ryan Stout and Sarah Stout.
A visitation will be held from 10:30 am until 11:00 am on Friday, November 16, 2018 at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227 with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 am in the chapel.
