Judith Ann Hinson

She was born November 24, 1942 in Asheville, NC to the late Hoyle Clark and Rossie Ingle Clark.

Judy worked many years with the Eckerd Drug Company and then the last few years at Rite Aid. She was a member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church for 45 years. Mrs. Hinson served on several committees and went on several mission trips. She also sang in the Adult Choir and played hand bells for many years.

Judy loved singing and anything to do with music. She was an avid reader. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach and to the mountains. But most of all she really enjoyed the time she spent with her only great granddaughter, Kylee Elisabeth.

Mrs. Hinson is survived by her daughter, Ann Hinson Parrott and her husband, Steve of Midland, NC; her son, Brad Burton and his wife, Diane of Mills River, NC; granddaughter, Heather Russell Parrott of Midland, NC and great-granddaughter, Kylee Elisabeth Parrott of Midland, NC.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Alton Hinson and grandson, Brandon Kyle Parrott.

A funeral service will be held at 6:30pm on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 4855 Albemarle Road, Charlotte, NC 28205. A visitation will immediately follow the service at the church. This Thursday would have been Mr. and Mrs. Hinson’s 54th wedding anniversary.

The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Eastern Hills Baptist Church, American Heart Association or to a college fund for Kylee Elisabeth Parrott in c/o Ann Parrott.

The family of Mrs. Hinson would like to thank Novant Matthews and the entire Hospice Care Team with a special thank you going to Brenda, Erin, Belinda (Sunshine) and Amber. You all made the family most comfortable and went above the call of duty.
