Judy Anne McGee Starnes

Judy Anne McGee Starnes, 75, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away Saturday morning, December 15, 2018. She had resided at Lake Park Nursing Facility in Indian Trail, North Carolina for approximately four years.

Judy and her husband, Barry, lived in the Charlotte area for many years. They also lived and vacationed in Ocean Isle, North Carolina, where they were fortunate enough to own a home and rental properties.

Judy’s career spanned 30+ years in business administration. She was employed by Sperry New Holland for 25 years as an Office Manager. After their closing, Judy worked for Sperry Univac until she retired.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Barry M. Starnes; their beloved dog, Buffer; her father, William H. McGee; her mother, Edna M. McGee; a brother, William H. McGee, Jr.; and a nephew, Alan Deese.

Survivors include one sister, Faye McGee Deese and husband, Gene, of Mint Hill, North Carolina; along with one nephew, Jason T. Deese and wife, Alison, of Newnan, Georgia.

A service to celebrate her life will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2018, McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill. The Reverend Arnold Kessler will officiate. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
