Abone, my younger brother, it has been two months since you passed and not a day goes by that I don't think about you and miss you.  I read how you touched so many people and how so many other people know how special you are.  I love you brother. I miss you.  J-bone

My deepest condolences to Alan's family and friends. Your wife and children are in my thoughts and prayers.   

I was shocked and deeply saddened with the news.  I was fortunate to have met and worked with Alan and his team during my time working with Munchkin in Canada.  He was a fabulous man and his team always showed great respect to him as a leader and friend.   His warm smile and personality always brought a calmness to difficult discussions.  He always made time for a call or a meeting. 

I hope all will find peace with time with the loss of such a wonderful person.

We met about 1994, in SUNY Cobleskill .  By the time we graduated Cobieland, we became brothers.  Since then I have had the honor to be a part of his life; From New Paltz to getting married in LA, to phone calls late Saturday nights, being part of the family during visits, and starting to know the Beautiful Children and life you created.   
Abone to me for life.  
He is in my heart and that is forever.  
One day I will find my brother again.  
I Love you Abone. 

Alan was a great co-worker - the best you could ever ask for.  From his laid back attitude, to his intelligence, to his willingness to chip in, to his cargo shorts - we was simply someone you felt relaxed around and as if your work problems were so much easier to overcome.  He was smart and gave remarkable insights without ever pushing his opinion.  He was funny and gracious with his time.  He had a wisdom that was well beyond his years and which made you feel so comfortable asking him for advice.

I will miss seeing Alan at after work events and sharing hilarious stories about all the crazy events we've been through.

Alan, you are someone I will never forget.  God bless you & your beautiful family.  

I cannot believe you are gone.

I am truly saddened by the news of Alan's passing. I met Alan during my time at Munchkin, Inc. and all I remember is the sweet and genuine smile of this man.  I ran into Alan at one of our son's baseball game and after losing to his son's team, he came to our side and told me our team played very well and we would come back strong next time. That incident only reiterated what I already knew about this gentleman, he was truly one of a kind. Life allows us to meet a few people of this caliber in our life time. I had the pleasure and the honor of meeting one.  

May the comfort of God be with his family in this difficult time. 



Alan you will be missed in the accounting department.

Your kind and most sincere invites to spend thanksgiving with you and your family are very precious to me, and I now wish I would have gone but thought there would be plenty more invites.  I will truly miss you.

I have worked with Alan for about 12 years at Munchkin.  In my entire career or life, I have never come across a nicer, gentler and all around GREAT human being than Alan.  We used to joke and reminisce about the "good old days" or talk about the family, work, kids.  No matter what the issue was, Alan's reaction was the same - always with a smile, and soothing voice "it will be OK".  There is not one other person that I know of, whose death will have this type of impact on this many people.

Alan, you will be missed - every day!  Rest in Peace, my friend.  Your natural family, Munchkin family and everyone who has had a contact with you, will grieve your loss forever.

I remember waiting to be interviewed by at that time the Controller. Here comes this guy dressed very relaxed and with a nice smile. We talked about business and a little bit of golf. I was impressed from that moment on with Alan who became my boss. He was so non judgmental, caring and always grateful. I never saw him loose his cool. You are the nicest person I've ever known in every level. Thank you for being who you were. Thank you for wearing those warm socks I would get you for Christmas. I miss your spirit and your warm smile. Alan you were truly loved here by your team.

My heart goes out to your family!

Alan has been my boss for about 5 years. Everyday I would get the same smile and soft hello followed by a hand wave.  "El Jefe" was an amazing man. He made sure that everyone was always happy. He never said no and appreciate everything we did. He marked my life forever and I will miss him dearly. Munchkin will never be the same. My most deepest condolences to his beautiful wife and children.  Alan will forever be remembered.  

I sat directly next to Alan during my time at Munchkin. He was incredibly patient, fun to joke around with, and overall a genuinely nice and humble person. We talked accounting, we talked sports, we talked about our families and various aspects of Jewish traditions. Alan was the definition of a great boss, a great family man, and a great human being. 

My sincerest thoughts with the family at this time. 

When I got to college, I had a lot of distrust of people and didn't become friends with just anyone.
For me to befriend Alan, he had proven he is honest, moral, and of good character.
He felt like a brother to me, and I will always cherish the good times and memories of him.
He taught me how to cook and how to relax and have a good time. 
I will always have the happy memories of him.  
God Bless his family.  I'm sure his happy spirit and good Karma will protect them.






We are heartbroken at the sudden and unexpected loss of our dear friend and long-time California neighbor from across the street.  Our wives became “besties” while they raised our kids (7 between the two of them) as what at times seemed a single family unit while Alan and I toiled long hours commuting to and from work in the L.A. basin.  Lots of family driveway picnics, fire pits, bbq, and whiskey on the weekends and holidays for us dads too.  And holiday yard inflatables oneupmanship!

We were blessed to have had one last hurrah with Alan two weeks ago which, unbeknownst to our family, would be the last time we would be with him.  I will miss this guy immensely.  He was such a friendly, giving person and the prototypical family man.

It was such a pleasure for our family to get to know Alan these past few years.  He was a wonderful man, husband, father and friend.   We had lots of fun times without  ever leaving the neighborhood.    Alan you will be greatly missed by all the lives you touched.  Your spirit will continue to shine through Heather, and your wonderful children.   

I had the honor and pleasure to work with Alan for the past 8 years in his capacity as the Controller at Munchkin Inc.  Alan was very good at his job.  He treated me and my team with respect, kindness, and professionalism.  He teamed with us by focusing our attention on issues and facts that were specific to the company, all the while demonstrating his appreciation for our teams skills and contributions.  He was the ideal client.  

I had the chance to socialize outside of work with Alan on one occasion and he spoke glowingly about his family.  He impressed me as a man who had a strong appreciation of the importance of life; namely family and community.  

My offer my humble sympathy to his family on his passing.
