April 10, 1924 – June 22, 2015; Augusta “Gussie” Herman passed away surrounded by her family at the age of 91. Beloved wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Gussie was born in Niagara Falls, New York and raised in Detroit, Michigan. In 1946, she met Jack, a young soldier and shortly after they married. In 1947 they moved to Southern California to begin their lives and family. Gussie devoted her life to caring for her family. The best time of her life was when her family was all together. She was a great confidant and always supportive of her loved ones. Her recipes and cooking were known to cure any ailment. She is survived by her three daughters, Sharon, Robin and Tina; and their husbands Marvin, Steven and Jim; four grandchildren, Hilary, Danny, Jenny and Jessica; 5 great grandchildren, Jackson, Sophia, Chloe, Reagan, and Dylan; and 1 great grand dog Zoey. Services will be held Sunday June 28th at Groman Eden Mortuary in the Eternal Light Chapel at 10:00AM, 11500 Sepulveda Blvd., Mission Hills, CA 91345.
