Darren Frederic Greenly

A funeral service for Darren will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Groman Eden Mortuary at the Eternal Light Chapel, 11500 Sepulveda Blvd, Mission Hills, CA 91345, followed by a graveside service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Born on October 27, 1977 Darren Greenly was a beloved son, brother and uncle. He suddenly passed away in his sleep at the age of 46. Although short in stature, he was the biggest person in the room. His vivacious personality, incredible generosity and wonderful smile left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Darren attended Horace Mann Elementary School and Beverly Hills High School. With dreams of becoming an actor, Darren went to acting school. His studies were interrupted in 2006 by a long hospitalization caused by complications of Crohn’s disease. Darren was not expected to survive, having been given less than 1% chance to live. With his fighting spirit, he beat the odds and went on to live a full and active life. His family feels so blessed to have had these extra 18 years with Darren in their lives.

Darren is survived by his parents, Cathy and Bob Greenly, his brother and sister-in-law, Josh and Jillian Greenly, his new baby nephew, Oliver, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He leaves behind him an enormous amount of friends whose lives were touched by Darren in so many ways.
