Elaine Helen Fondler, 88, born July 2, 1937, and died Dec. 9, 2025, both in Los Angeles. Preceded in death by her mother, Gertrude Lebman (Gorodetsky), father Roy Lebman, and ex-husband and lifetime companion Howard Fondler. Survived by son David Fondler (Heidi Rose), daughter Stephanie Fondler and numerous cousins and relatives. Elaine was a true force of nature. Her magnetic personality came naturally and drew in everyone she knew or met – the embodiment of “charisma.” Her commitment to family was legendary, and she welcomed all into her home with warmth, love and food. Her default emotions were joy and happiness, and she shared these unconditionally. Memorial service at 11 AM, Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025, at Eden Memorial Park, 11500 Sepulveda Blvd., Mission Hills, CA 91345; reception to follow. Shiva at 6 pm, Wednesday, Dec. 17, in the synagogue at LA Jewish Health, 18855 Victory Blvd., Reseda, CA 91335.
