Emile was born March 25, 1912,in Paris, France and came to America at age five. He grew up in the Bronx, New York and moved to Los Angeles with his family at age 18 where he met Diane Bertisch, his wife of 67 years. They lived in Leisure World, Laguna, for 24 years, where he was the supervisor of their art studio. He continued to paint in oils and watercolors to age 100. He moved to Santa Monica 8 months ago to be near his devoted family. Emile was with it to the end. He will be greatly missed by his loving family.
He is survived by his sons, Stan and David and their wives, Patricia and Donna, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and his brother, Mike.
Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Eternal Light Chapel, Eden Memorial Park, 11500 Sepulveda Blvd., Mission Hills.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Mr. Kamin’s to Saddleback Hospital, 24451 Health Center Drive, Laguna Hills, California, 92653.
