Harvey Lee Kaufman of Ventura, California, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 (23 Cheshvan 5775), at 78. Services will be held Thursday, November 20, 2014, at 10 am, at Eternal Valley Memorial Park. Services will be officiated by Rabbi Michael Barclay, and will conclude Graveside in Eternal Valley Memorial Park. Flowers are being accepted, and donations in Mr. Kaufman's memory to the following charities is welcome and appreciated: Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org/donate; American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org/donate; The National Kidney Foundation, www.kidney.org.
Mr. Kaufman, an Honorably Discharged Veteran of the United States Navy, Korea, Is survived by his children, Shelby (Jason) Duarte and Matthew (Kristy) Kaufman; his former wife and friend, Maxine Parke; his sister, Carolyn Davis; his grandchildren, Taylor and Jacob Duarte, and Colt and Brayden Kaufman; and 6 nieces.
Mr. Kaufman was an avid collector, who loved Corvettes, and gambling; his favorite games being craps, blackjack, and slots.
