Jacqueline Ellis Dermer

Jaqueline Dermer passed away Tuesday, July 25, 207, after a courageous battle against brain cancer. A loving mother to Mark (Tracy) Blazer and Alyssa (Charles) Peretz; and a devoted grandmother to Rachel, Dina, Abigail, Shira, Ethan and Emma; Jackie was always there for family and friends, as well as her community at large. She was a lifelong educator who was firmly committed to justice and loving kindness.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at 2 pm, at Temple Ahavat Shalom, 18200 Rinaldi Place, Porter Ranch, CA 91326. Interment will follow at Eden Memorial Park, 11500 Sepulveda Blvd., Mission Hills, CA 91345. Following the funeral, the seudat havra'ah (meal of consolation) will be held at the Blazer home. An evening service (Shiva) will be held at the Blazer home at 6 pm, beginning Wednesday night, and continuing Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, each evening at 6pm.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Jackie's honor to Temple Beth Ami, a community which she so enjoyed being a part of, and one which embraced her in love.

May Jackie's memory be for a blessing, as out entire family is comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
