Jason Warren Wasserman, 73, passed away in Modesto, California, on November 17, 2016. He is survived by his sister Adele Bloch, brother-in-law Robert Bloch, nieces Cheryl Vincent and Elizabeth Bloch, and great-nephews Matthew Vincent and Joshua Vincent, and great-nieces Rebecca Vincent and Hannah Vincent, Uncles Billy Azoff and Jack Azoff, Aunts Shirley Azoff, Marcelle Azoff, and lots of wonderful cousins.
Jason served in the US Army as a mapmaker in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was hired as a lab assistant with the City of Los Angeles in their Crime Lab on February 1st, 1973 and retired on May 1st, 2005. Although he never married or had children, he spent many years breeding mastiffs. He loved cooking for caring for them, and treated them as though they were his kids. He also used to feed homeless rabbits, birds, and dogs (or coyotes, as we call them).
Funeral services for Jason will take place in the Eternal Light Chapel at Eden Memorial Park on Sunday, November 20, 2016 – 3:00 PM.
