Dad…
You left us a year ago today. 
I still listen almost everyday to the seven voice messages from you that I have on my phone. 
But I would give up literally everything I own to have one more talk with you. 
My heart still breaks every time that I think of you, and I miss you so, so much. 
I know you’re dancing in Heaven with Mom now…please give her a kiss for me too. 
I love you now and always, Pops.

I lit a yahrzeit candle at sunset on June 9, the Hebrew calendar anniversary of Jerry's death.  Proverbs 20:27 "The soul of man is a candle of the Lord." I think of Sandra, Steve and Michael at this time especially. I miss Jerry all the time.

Dear Dad aka Pops,

You are missed by all of us and we will celebrate your amazing life today. I want you to know that I think about you every day and miss you with all my heart ❤️. You were the most amazing Father,  Grandfather,  and Friend.

My sincere condolences to Jerome’s family and friends.  I first met Jerry about 10 years ago around the time my Uncle Charles Fiscus passed away.  I was in the habit of calling my Uncle every month or so and after he died, I started calling Jerry.  I guess I had a need to keep in contact with someone from the L.A. area and from his generation.  He was a lot of fun.   Out of the blue, he would call me sometimes.  Farewell, Jerome.  I treasure my association with you.

I love and miss you more than there are words to explain how much it hurts.
Saying you were a great dad doesn’t seem to do you justice, because you were so much more than that. You were a friend, a role model, a confidante, a mentor, and someone I was so proud to be able call my father. 
You were unabashedly you, a loving, tough as they come guy who beyond that sometimes gruffness was really just a giant teddy bear. 
I know that you and Mom are dancing to “My Funny Valentine” now, and keeping an eye out for all of us. 
Rest easy now, Pops. You earned it.

Such Sad news to hear about Jerry’s departure . He spoke often of his children with pride. I found him to be a loving and generous man. We shared a great love of music and it was a gift to be in his orbit.

I met Jerry through my sister Susanne.  At that time he still had a closet full of clothes from his deceased wife.  In what I have come to learn was typical Jerry fashion, he looks me up and down and says, you are the right configuration.  He then offered me any of the clothes I wanted.  His humor and intelligence showed thru his attempt at gruffness.  My sympathies to his family and friends.  He has left a hole in your hearts.

Dear Uncle Jerry, you were always larger than life to me. You are one of my heroes. You were a terrific uncle, father, husband, son and brother. You will be missed and always remembered.

Oh my!  Jerome was one of the warmest and funniest 'Lawyers' I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.  The world has lost a good one!  All my love and condolences to the family, especially Sandra.

I am sad my friend Jerry has died. He leaves us to fend for ourselves now. He was a fighter who protected the oppressed. He was a great man with an amazing sense of humanity, love, and support for all who knew him (if you were in his right side), pity the people who weren’t. A sense of calm propriety, and at the same time an awesome sense of humor for life and its challenges.
He is missed already, and will always be remembered by this soul.  Hope we meet again some sunny day Jerry! So long my friend.

The Consul General of Korea in Los Angeles, Youngwan Kim, presented Jerry with the Ambassador for Peace Medal on July 29, 2018 for his service in the Korean War.

Jerry invited me to join him at this small gathering of some friends in July 2018. He was very low key about it, "Oh, just some friends getting together. Come with me, it will be fun." In fact, it was kind of a big deal: he was presented with the Ambassador for Peace Medal for his service in the Korean War.

Dear Jerry, you were the best big brother anyone could have. I love you and miss you.  I will miss our long conversations and your sage advice.  This is a very sad time for me but I know you are at peace.
