It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lisa, a devoted wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt, and beloved educator, whose life was defined by love, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to others.
Lisa dedicated her life to early childhood education, beginning her journey at just 15 years old. For the past 25 years, she served as the director of Woodland Hills Community Church Nursery School, where she touched countless lives. To her students, she was a guiding light; to her staff, she was more than a leader—she was a mentor, a source of support, and a second mother. Lisa poured her heart into her work, treating everyone she encountered as part of her extended family.
In 1993, Lisa married the love of her life, Mark, with whom she built a beautiful life centered around family. She was a proud and loving mother to her son Brandon (and his wife Anna), and her daughter Bailey (and her wife Jessica), and a deeply devoted Nana to her grandson Nathan, who brought her immense joy.
Lisa was known for her boundless love and generosity. She had a remarkable way of making people feel seen, heard, and cared for. She was a surrogate mother to many, always ready with a listening ear, thoughtful advice, or simply a comforting presence. Her love extended beyond people—she adored her dachshund, Lucy, who was a cherished companion.
Family was everything to Lisa. She shared an especially close bond with her sisters, Laurie and Lorna, who were not only siblings but lifelong best friends. Lisa made it a priority to stay connected, often calling loved ones daily to check in, share updates, and celebrate life’s moments—big and small. She loved being the first to know and to share in the joys of those she loved.
Lisa’s absence leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her warmth, her kindness, her strength, and the deep, unconditional love she gave so freely.
She is survived by her husband, Mark; her son Brandon and daughter-in-law Anna; her daughter Bailey and daughter-in-law Jessica; her beloved grandson Nathan; her sisters Laurie and Lorna; and the many lives she touched as a teacher, mentor, and friend.
Our hearts are broken, and she will be deeply and forever missed.
A Funeral and Committal Service will be held at Groman Eden Mortuary, 11500 Sepulveda Blvd, Mission Hills, CA 91345, on April 3, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
