It was my Honor and privilege to bring Robert back to the battlefields of Europe a number of times. He was always an easy traveler, a wealth of knowledge and a kind soul every single trip he took with me. I still share his stories to my groups in the hope that others will learn from his experiences and sacrifice. Robert, let your wings take you far and wide, my friend.

My deepest condolences to your family and friends. You will be missed.

Your Dad was a wonderful person.  "Unca Bob," as I thought about him when I was a kid, always treated me like an adult and we had such long, interesting talks from the earliest opportunity.  As an adult, we shared a love of government and politics and he was great to discuss current events and history with.  I will miss our long telephone calls and my visits with him in California.  Take care of yourself and the rest of your wonderful family.

I'm glad to have been able to know Bob and will miss him very much!

Bob was such a wonderful person and so full of life. I feel very lucky to have known him over the last 15 years. Love and prayers to William.

I only met Bob once at Storm's birthday party, but I remember him fondly and am so sorry to hear of his passing.

I am very sad to hear about the passing of Bob aka Dad Boy.  He was always so very kind to me and had many wonderful stories to tell.  I will remember him with fondness.
