Simon and his wife, Esther, were inseparable in their close and loving marriage of over 50 years. Simon's career as Chief of the Water Resources Branch with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District, was always a great source of fulfillment, but his wife and family always came first. He was truly a devoted, caring, and loving husband and father. Simon retired in January, 1980, after 39 years of distinguished and respected service with the Corps of Engineers. After his retirement, his passion was playing bridge, and the close knit ties he formed with his bridge group at the Culver City Senior Center. He always loved his house and neighbors, and he was fortunate to continue living there independently throughout his long, healthy, and happy life. Simon always had a smile on his face, and he was a warm, loving, and giving individual. We will always carry your wonderful memory on our hearts.
