She was born in Union County on March 16, 1933, daughter of the late, Fred and Lois Craig. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald D. Griffin.
Betty worked at BB&T for over 30 years. After retiring from her career as a Senior Loan Officer, she enjoyed working at the hospital as a front desk receptionist where she could interact with the public and see old friends.
Mrs. Griffin is survived by her daughter, Karen G. Helms (Jimmy); her son, Don Griffin; her grandson, Wesley Helms (Amber) and by her great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn Helms and Chandler Helms.
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Griffin will be held at 1:00pm Friday, October 14, 2022 at Lakeland Memorial Park with Pastor Michael Scott Jr. officiating. McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Betty Griffin.
