Billie Frances Helms Billingsley passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center-Union. Mrs. Billingsley was born January 31, 1928 in Union County, daughter of the late Bob C. Helms and Louise Quick Helms. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Davis “Bill” Billingsley, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation will be Friday, December 26, 2014 from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe; Services to celebrate her life will begin at 12:00 P.M. in the McEwen Colonial Chapel, with Reverend Richard Johnson officiating. Burial will be private and at a later date. Survivors include one daughter; Vickie B. Pope (James) of Monroe, NC, one son; Johnny Billingsley (Sherry) of Ruby, SC. Grandchildren include; Amy Pope Wells, Chandra Pope, Brian Billingsley and Kyndra Cohen. Great grandchildren; Bradley Morton, Abigail Morton, Calvin Wells, Ashton Thomas, Landyn Backey, Matthew Billingsley, Jackson Hill and Karis Cohen. Great-great grandchildren; Leo Davis Adalia.
