Billy Ray Hudson

Billy Ray Hudson, age 69, of Marshville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 15, 2017 with his family by his side. He was born in Lancaster, SC, on June 3, 1947, son of the late J.W. and Mildred Hudson.

Bill served in the US Air Force from 1965-1968, served in the Air Force Reserve until 1971 and also served in the Army Reserve. He was an Industrial Engineer for Yale Norton where he retired after 25 years. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, avid golfer and Gamecock fan.

Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Hudson Waites.

He is survived by his loving wife, Millie Hudson; his children, Ray Hudson and wife Kim, Sherry Hudson King, Chris V. Horne and wife Shelia, David Horne and wife Jenny and Wayne Horne; eight grandchildren, Whitney Miller, Brandon Horne, Corey Hudson, Gabe Horne, Maggie Horne, Colin Horne, Carsyn Horne, Jessica King; and his sister, Peggy Mangum.

The family will receive friends March 18, 2017 from 9:30am to 11:00am at Faulks Baptist Church with the funeral service beginning at 11:00am. Interment will be follow in the church cemetery.
