Bobby Gene Knight

Bobby was born September 4, 1937 in Union County to the late Winfred Knight and Mary Price Knight. He was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Monroe, North Carolina. Bobby retired from AT&T and was a Mason at Monroe Masonic Lodge 244 and a Shriner.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of sixty four years, Mary Holmes Knight.

He is survived by his children and grandchildren: Gene Knight and wife Debbie of Granite Falls, Julie Wright and husband Chris of Apex, Ashlynn Ward and husband Robbie and their 2 daughters, Aubrey and Ryan; McKenzie Knight and Jody Spears and their son, Kannon; and Zach Wright and his wife Kassidy. Also surviving are his sisters, Ann Murphy and husband Jerry Murphy of Charlotte, and Joan Monroe of Georgia.

A graveside memorial service will be held by the family on Monday, November 27, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Lakeland Memorial Park, located at 1901 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, North Carolina.
