Carolyn R. Allen

Carolyn R. Allen, 88, of Concord, North Carolina went to be with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. She was born in Marshville, North Carolina on April 1, 1933 to the late Eddie and Lessie Riggins.

Carolyn retired as a Benefits Sales Assistant with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. She loved spending time in the kitchen and was know for her amazing Chocolate Swirl Pound Cake. She was a sweet, kind-hearted woman that will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn is predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Gene C. Allen; daughter, Nancy Allen and brothers, Carson Riggins and Joel Riggins. She is survived by her sons, Ricky (Patty) Allen and Roger (Donna) Allen; daughter, Sandra Shoemaker; grandchildren, Jason, Christina, Candice, Cassie, Nicole and Kim and 9 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service for Carolyn will be held Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 5709 Philadelphia Church Road, Marshville, NC 28103.
