Carolyn Braswell Helms

Heaven’s choir received a new pianist on Monday, August 15, 2016. Mrs. Carolyn Braswell Helms age 73, passed away at the Brian Center, located in Monroe N.C. Mrs. Helms was born December 6, 1942 in Monroe North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Larry Helms, who passed away March 2014, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Bert Braswell (Emma), and a brother, James Bert Braswell Jr.

Mrs. Helms is survived by her daughters, Leah Helms Davis (John) of Monroe N.C., Amy Helms Pressley (Scott) of Monroe N.C., three grandchildren: Johnathon Luke Davis, Hannah Blair Davis, Marvin Scott Pressley all of Monroe N.C., brother: Dennis Braswell (Venia) of Sanford N.C., brother-in-law, Dr. Donald B. Helms (Janice) of Lumberton N.C., and Mother-in-law, Eleanor B. Helms of Monroe N.C.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Mill Creek Baptist Church, 5417 Morgan Mill Road, Monroe N.C. 28110, with Reverend Marvin Tyson and Reverend George Hunnicutt officiating, with interment immediately following at Lakeland Memorial Park, located at 1901 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe N.C. 28112. The viewing of Mrs. Helms will be prior to the service at the church, beginning at 9:30 A.M.

In Lieu of flowers, the daughters have requested that memorials be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region, 1429 East Seventh Street, Charlotte N.C. 28204.
