He was born December 6, 1957 in Union County, NC, the son of the late Mr. Donald Connie Mac Russell and the late Mrs. Doris Adaline Love Russell. Donnie was an employee and eventually a partner in Helms and Cox Greenhouses, Inc. where he had worked since 8th grade.
Mr. Russell is survived by his wife: Amy E. Russell of the home; two daughters: Allison Russell of Monroe, NC and Amber Russell of Indian Trail, NC.
The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation Monday December 2, 2013 from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at McEwen Funeral Home in Monroe.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Russell will be at 2:00 PM Monday December 2, 2013 in the McEwen Colonial Chapel, conducted by Elder Newell Helms with a private burial to follow.
