Ole Donnie, for many of you that didn’t truly know Donnie you thought he was mean, angry, mad, Arrogant, etc., etc.,, but for those who did you also thought he was mean, angry at times but you also knew he had one of the biggest hearts of anyone in the world. One day He could make you mad enough to fight and the next day be your best friend and you couldn’t help but want to be around him. Donnie was tough to get to know but those that knew him knew he would do anything for those he loved.
My younger years Donnie was a friend and kind of a Grandpaw to me at times. I’ll never forget those Christmas morning (Santa) surprises shared with Donnie and Linda and my parents. Or those deer hunts, and especially the time Donnie shot a turkeys feet off while we were turkey hunting (HAHA!!). I think that’s the fastest I’ve ever seen Donnie run and for sure the happiest I ever seen him. He was Laying on the ground laughing and hardly breathing. Donnie I love you brother, and I wished we could make more of those memories!! You will be missed on this earth.
Mike and Linda you two where his pride and Joys in life and I’m thankful for the memories God blessed me and my family to have with him. God Bless you both!!!

I wouldn’t be who I am today without this man ... Uncle Donnie taught my that nothings is for free you have to work for it . At 15 I went to him and asked if he would help me get my class ring . So he said yes and he would be by Saturday morning about 7 ... He took me to work with him he gave me a shovel and I helped him dig footings for 2 days he said I can give you anything but your not gonna learn anything from that so I spent several weekends earning my way in life . To this day I am forever greatful not a day in my 49 years this man hasn’t crossed my mind . To know him is to love him .. (god knows he was a hard man to love ) Thank you Uncle Donnie and Aunt Lynda for being there to show me my way !
