Miss Ethel Dean Richardson, 84, died Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Carolinas Hospice of Union County. Miss Richardson was born February 28, 1930 in Union County, daughter of the late Steve and Johnnie Parker Richardson, she was also preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers. Visitation will be Monday, June 16, 2014 from 7 until 9 P.M. at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. Services to celebrate the life of Miss Ethel will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 17, 2014 in the McEwen Colonial Chapel, with Reverend Tim Helms officiating, internment will follow in the Sandy Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include two sisters; Elaine Parker of Charlotte and Rachel Hargette of Monroe, several nieces and nephews. McEwen Funeral and Cremation Service of Monroe is serving the family of Miss Richardson.
