Fred Vernon Reed

On June 28th, 1959, he married Arlene Ruth Bryant, who survives. He is also survived by 5 children; Scott Andrew Reed and his wife Becky of Mt. Pleasant, NC, his children Alexandra and Andrew, and Alexandra’s son Jaxon, David Warren Reed and his wife Jennifer of Charlotte, NC, their son Henry, Lisa Ann Reed and her husband Eric Wolfe of Boise, ID, Julie Lynn Parlier and her husband Brian of Midland, NC, their children Reed and Mallory, and Jeffrey Glen Reed and his wife Wendy of Matthews, NC, and their children Cooper and Greyson.

Fred graduated from the University of Chicago and served in the United States Coast Guard in the 50s. He retired from Hoechst Celanese as a systems analyst in 1998.
