Gary Dean Stack

Gary Stack, 56, died Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Carolina’s Medical Center-Union. Gary was born September 7, 1958 in Union County, son of Joy Alexander Stack Tewell and the late Stacy B. Stack, he was also preceded in death by a brother: Randy Dale Stack, his grandparents: Shelly & Ola Stack, H.P. “Buss” & Ruby Alexander. Visitation will be Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe from 6 until 8 PM, Services to celebrate the life of Gary will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 1, 2014 in the McEwen Colonial Chapel with Reverend Rich Myers officiating, interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Gary loved to garden, especially flowers, he always had a beautiful yard and could make anything grow, that was a gift from God and he loved the outdoors, especially the beach, he could easily have been a Beach Bum, but just going and looking out at the beautiful waters and the blue skies was like heaven to him, He loved to take cruises (one wonders where he got that from). He was a happy and loving son, brother, father and grandfather. Survivors include two daughters: Tiffany Nicole Stack of Waxhaw, Kendra Stack Everett “Chris” of Monroe, son: Garrett Chad Stack of Monroe, Mother and Step-Father: Joy Stack Tewell and Charles “ Chuck” Tewell of Lakepark N.C., 9 grandchildren: Alexis Medlin, Hailey Medlin, C.J. Everett, Paris Isaman, Landon and Logan Isaman, Hannah, Savannah and Garrett Stack, sister: Vicky Stack McCraney “Jim” of Waxhaw, 3 nephews: Brandon & Brent McCraney, Stephen Stack, 1 niece: Ashley McCraney, Numerous aunts, uncles and extended family members. Special friends: Sharon Helms and Tracy Harrington.
