Mr. Hinson was born June 20, 1935 in Union County, son of the late Norman S. and Inez Aycock Hinson.
George was retired from the Monroe City Fire Department as Assistant Fire Chief. Visitation was Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. Services to Celebrate his life will be Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the McEwen Colonial Chapel with Reverend Dac Croasmun officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife: Lois Remelle C. Hinson of the home, three daughters: Sharron H. Mullis (Bengie) of Monroe, Karen Hinson-Mullis (Rick) of Wingate, Patsy McWhorter of Concord, one son: George W. Hinson Jr . (Princess) of Marshville, Eleven grandchildren, one great granddaughter.
