Guy Boyce Brantley, age 60, of Monroe, passed away on September 1, 2016 at home. He was born in Union County on November 6, 1955, the son of Harold and Blake Brantley. Guy is survived by his daughter, Megan Brantley Auch (Matt); his son, Michael Brantley; granddaughter, Isabella Rose Brantley; two brothers, Don Brantley (Pam) and Ted Brantley (Donna); his father and mother, Harold and Blake Brantley; his nephews, Clark Brantley, Nicholas Brantley (Jackie) and Joshua Bowden (Lacey); his nieces, Ansley Brantley Sheeran (Paul), Marcie Bowden, Jennifer and Mackenzie; great nephew, Oliver Samuel Sheeran; and great nieces, Reagan Paige Brantley, Caroline Brantley and Kennedy Brantley.
The family will receive friends Tuesday September 6, 2016 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, 11:00am at Zion United Methodist Church with interment following in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 1521 Old Fish Road, Monroe, NC 28110.
