He was born and raised in Union County, son of the late Rommie and Lela Taylor. Carroll worked for John Deere Tractor for 26 years and built Taylor Farms. He was known for his love of God and his family. Carroll had a passion for farming and the outdoors. He loved growing crops and working with his hands. He had a strong work ethic, which he taught to all his family.
Carroll is predeceased by his first wife of 57 years, Verna Taylor, and two great-grandchildren, River Drake and Lindley Taylor. He is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Libby Taylor; children, Donnie (Martha) Taylor, Tony (Debbie) Taylor, Gina (John) Rogers, Darin (Katie) Little, John (Amy) Little and Dawn Skinner; grandchildren, Heather Taylor, Jessica (Fairley) Drake, Amanda (Brad) Steele, Kyle (Kayla) Taylor, Aaron Taylor and his fiancée Jessica Manus, Kurt, Will and Erika Mast, Lucas and Shelby Little, Maddi and Carson Little, and Bentley and Nick Skinner; great-grandchildren, Gage, Miley and Xander Taylor, Aydan, Wyatt and Salem Drake, Taylyn and Levi Steele, Emery Taylor and Addie Pigg, and his siblings, Everette (Linda) Taylor and Phyllis Purser.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Union Grove Primitive Baptist Church, with burial immediately following at the church cemetery. The family would like to thank Carol Frankenberg, a longtime family friend and loving caregiver to Carroll, as well as the staff of Hospice for their wonderful care.
