Jean Grubb Griffin

Jean Grubb Griffin, born November 3.1940 in Davie County N.C. passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Florence Smith Grubb both of Davie County NC and was preceded in death by her husband Edward Barry Griffin. Mrs. Griffin is survived by her son Christopher Barry Griffin and his wife Jennie Yearick of Charlotte NC, her daughter Tracey Griffin Hammaren and husband Greg of Farmington Hills MI., three grandchildren, Josh, Tyler and Jordan Hammaren. Mrs. Griffin served Union County for over 30 years both as Assistant Tax Collector and also as Tax Collector. She was a devoted member of Mill Creek Baptist Church for over 50 years where she volunteered endless hours, enjoying time and faith with friends and colleagues. Mrs. Griffin was a woman of indomitable spirit and strength touching the lives of all she knew. The family will receive friends and family for visitation from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M. on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Mill Creek Baptist Church, Funeral Services will be at 3:00 P.M. in the Church Sanctuary, interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
