Mr. Joe Franklin Halford

Mr. Joe Franklin Halford, 92, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Carolina Medical Center-Union. Mr. Halford was born January 17, 1921 in Barnwell County S.C., son of the late George W. and Fannie Armstrong Halford, he was also preceded in death by his wife Ruby Sellers Halford and 11 siblings. Joe was a member of the First Baptist Church of Monroe, was involved in Loaves and Fishes of Union County, and a former member of Benton Heights Lions Club. Survivors include two daughters: Joyce H. Matlock and husband Don of Winston Salem N.C., Donna H. Kronstadt of Cary N.C., three grandchildren: Jody M. Sutton and husband Scott of Matthews N.C., Ellen M. Wessling and husband Kenneth of Seattle Wa., Jacob J. Kronstadt of Cary N.C., two great grandchildren: Toby and Brianna Wessling of Seattle, WA. Services to celebrate the life of Joe will be Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Mausoleum at Lakeland Memorial Park, with his Pastor Reverend Chris Dawson and Reverend Al Halford officiating, the family will receive friends following the funeral service.
