She was born July 13, 1940, to the late John and Lola High Helms.
Johnnie was a lifelong Union County native who loved and treasured her family. She enjoyed picking up her sister, Mary, every Sunday to attend church, and she always liked watching Judge Judy with her great-grandson, Anthony. Johnnie always thought that providing for her grandchildren was the best thing in life. Her family in return loved the time spent with her and all the precious memories that were made with her as well. Everyone especially loved New Years Day where they always enjoyed her special greens.
Along with her parents, Johnnie is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Paxton. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Neal (Tim); grandchildren, Linda Burnette (Joel), David Starnes (Carrianne), Christopher Neal (Bridgett), and Kimberly Neal; great-grandchildren, Jackson Starnes, Andy Starnes, Madison Burnette, Adyen Burnette, Triston Parke, Matthew Neal, Anthony Neal, Kaitlin Neal, Donavan Burnette, Logan Burnette, and Cheyenne Burnette; and great-great grandchildren, Payton Burnette and Carter Smith.
