Kathy Sue Phillips

Kathy Sue Phillips, age 69, of Mt. Pleasant, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on April 24, 2022. Kathy was born on January 18, 1953 to William (Bill) and Vera Pines Benton. Kathy worked for PCA International before going to work for the Union County School System from which she retired. Kathy enjoyed camping and her beloved pets. Kathy is predeceased by her husband, Danny; her parents, Bill and Vera Pines and her sister, Tina. Kathy is survived by a daughter, Tina Spears; a granddaughter, Brittany Spears; two brothers, Tony Benton and Danny Benton; one sister, Betsy Starnes (Jeff); and several nieces and nephews as well as lots of friends. A special thank you to her friend, Kaye Belk for helping her brother Tony take care of Kathy in her final years. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. A service to celebrate the life of Kathy will be held at 12:00 PM in the Colonial Chapel at McEwen Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park.
