Lena R. Freize, age 91, of Gastonia, passed away on February 27, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born in Gaston County on August 20, 1925. Lena enjoyed painting landscapes and attending Euto Baptist Church where she was a member of the Senior Sunday school class.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, R. J. Freize Jr. Lena is survived by her son, Ronny Freize (June); her daughter, Vickie F. Brooks (Dale); her four grandchildren, Leslie Ladd (John), Ginger Freize, Wendy Lambert (Tommy), Dale Brooks Jr. (Rhonda); five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Euto Baptist Church with the funeral service beginning at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Gaston Memorial Park.
