Mr. Marvin Cecil Edwards

Mr. Marvin Cecil Edwards, age 72, of Indian Trail, N.C., passed away Thursday (July 21, 2011) at his home.

Mr. Edwards was born September 3, 1938 in Union County, North Carolina, a son of the late Mr. Roy Jackson Edwards and the late Mrs. Sally Jane Simpson Edwards.

He was employed by Standard Trucking Company of Charlotte for over 20 years.

Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife: Mrs. Virginia Ann Gordon Edwards of the home,

(one) Son: Ted Edwards of Indian Trail, N.C.,

Former-Daughter-in-law: Angie A. Edwards of Indian Trail, N.C.

(three) Grandchildren: Katlin, Austin, and Jackson Edwards all of Indian Trail, N.C.,

(four) Sisters: Helen Gibson, Doris Kennedy and Lavonne Boatwright all of Indian Trail, N.C., Willine Bryant of Greenville, South Carolina.

(one) Brother: Don Edwards of Indian Trail, N.C.

The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation Sunday afternoon (July 24, 2011) from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at McEwen Funeral Home in Monroe.

Funeral services will be (Monday, July 25, 2011) at 11:00 A.M. in the Sardis Baptist Church, 3602 Unionville-Indian Trail Road, West, Indian Trail, N.C. 28079, conducted by the Rev. Ken Hucks, with burial to follow in the Forest Lawn East Cemetery, 3700 Forest Lawn Drive, Matthews, N.C. 28105. Memorials may be made to the Sardis Baptist Church Building Fund, 3602 Unionville-Indian Trail Road, West, Indian Trail, N.C. 28079.
