She was born in Union County on March 7, 1940, daughter of the late Sam and Phyllis Ashley. She is survived by her sons, David Ashley and Dwayne Phillips; her fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; her sister, Brenda Hill and multiple nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2:00pm Thursday, April 29, 2021 at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Phillips will begin at 2:00pm in McEwen Funeral Home's Colonial Chapel. A private interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.
