Nancy Outen Broadway, 69, of Monroe passed away at home surrounded by her family on November 3, 2021 and went to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born and raised in Union County. Nancy was loving and sweet as a caregiver and babysitter but most of all, she loved her family. She treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren. Nancy was an avid Bible reader and faithful member of High Hill Primitive Baptist Church.
Nancy is predeceased by her parents, Douglas and Martha Outen and her sister, Dianne Outen. She is survived by her husband of 50+ years, Lowell Broadway; her son, Richard “Richie” Broadway and his wife Teresa; her daughter, Ginger Smith and her husband Jeff; grandchildren, Scott (Destinee) Broadway, Austin Broadway, Ethan Broadway, Abbey Smith, Anna Smith and her twin Rachel Smith and great-grandson, Dallas Broadway.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe followed by a 12:00 pm service to Celebrate Nancy’s Homegoing. Interment will be at Lakeland Memorial Park.
