Born on January 21, 1959, to Vernon and Minnie Robinson, Ricky was a resident of Union County. He had a deep and genuine love for Jesus Christ and served in ministry as the founder and pastor of Glory Bound Ministries from 2012 until 2019. Ricky had many interests and hobbies in his life including fishing, landscaping, and going to yard sales. He especially loved reading his Bible and spending time with his family. He also took every opportunity to share his testimony with those he met.
Along with his parents, Ricky is preceded in death by his sister, Leticia Starnes (Johnny). He is survived by his loving wife, Julia (Michelle) Robinson of Wingate, North Carolina; children, Angela Soter (Tim) of Unionville, North Carolina, Scotty Robinson (April) of Monroe, North Carolina, and Gina Robinson (Chase) of Wingate, North Carolina; grandchildren, Skyler Robinson, Timothy Soter III, Sawyer Robinson, Ryker Robinson, Issabella Alston, Joshua Spurlock and Trenton Spurlock; brother, Ronnie Robinson (Donna); and sisters, Lori Mullis (Robbie) and Debbie Johnson (Roger).
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, located at 204 South Main Street, Monroe, North Carolina. A funeral service to celebrate Ricky’s life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 10:00 am in the McEwen Colonial Chapel with burial immediately following the service at Lakeland Memorial Park.
