

Formerly of Lexington, Massachusetts, he was born on May 5, 1930. Robert was a beloved husband, dad, brother, Papa, Great Papa, Uncle, and HERO! He was a man of honor and dignity for his family and his country, serving 2 tours in Korea. He received multiple medals and honors for his service including a Purple Heart! After serving in the military, Robert worked as a carpenter by day and worked at Hayden Recreation Center by night. He was a long time resident of Lexington, Massachusetts and loved baseball, golf, canoeing, and woodworking. He was also an usher at Fenway Park for over 20 years, before retiring to Four Lakes Golf Club in Winter Haven, Florida.
Robert is predeceased by his loving wife, Virginia F. Dervan and brother, Joseph E. Dervan. He is survived by his children; Joyce F. Dervan of Billerica, Massachusetts, Jill F. James of Milton, Florida, Jeanne E. Zierhoffer and her husband, John of Monroe, North Carolina, and Jeffrey R. Dervan of Laconia, New Hampshire; sister, Patricia E. Morrissette of South Weymouth, Massachusetts; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. No services are scheduled at this time.
Donations and memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association in honor of Robert’s late wife, Virginia.
