Carolyn Knight Frady

She was born December 12, 1939 in Montgomery, AL. Carolyn graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in 1958. She married Jerry Frady in December 1961. Carolyn then attended and graduated from East Tennessee State University with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education in 1975. She then continued her education and received her Masters of Science from the University of Alabama in 1981. She taught 5th grade in Piedmont, AL from 1976-2000.

She served the Lord faithfully as a pastor’s wife. Carolyn loved that she was able to use her knowledge of teaching with the children in her church as a Sunday school teacher. Carolyn was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Montgomery.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Luke Frady and his wife, Penny Michelle Frady, Grandchildren, Jennifer Rai Stacks and Timothy Robert Hughes; sisters, Emogene Knight Bryan, Ernestine Knight Lewis, Margaret Knight Agee (Ken) and Rebecca Knight Puckett.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Conrad Frady, her mother, Rebecca Annie Knight, her father, Royal Kin Knight and her brother, Joe Hardy Knight.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 9, 2024 beginning at 1:00 PM at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home 10505 Atlanta Highway Montgomery, AL. Her funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with interment to immediately follow in Alabama Heritage Cemetery.
