Doris Bell, "Nana", of Pike Road, Alabama stepped into Heaven on July 17, 2018. Doris was born in White City, Alabama to Ollie Glenn and Agnes Mullins Glenn. Doris was a registered nurse and worked at several healthcare facilities in the Montgomery area.
Doris is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, James Bell; daughters Kathy Nelson (Brad), Karen Northcut (Butch), Kim Byrom (Charlie); grandchildren Jeremy Nelson (Michelle), Tory Holt (Graham), Matthew Nelson, Timi Pilbro (Mason), Kade Northcut, Cheyenne Northcut, Kord Northcut, Kaiden Byrom, Jameson Byrom; great-grandchildren Carter Nelson, Seth Nelson, Layla Pilbro, Alex Pilbro; sisters Levonne McGee (Mac), Gail Moore (Carl), Mae Pearl Winslow (Henry) and many loved nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Alabama Heritage Cemetery on Saturday, July 21 at 10 am with reception immediately following at Alabama Heritage.
In lieu of flowers, Doris requested contributions be made to the Montgomery Area Food Bank or the Salvation Army.
The family would like to thank Alacare Hospice, especially Tracy, for helping us make Nana's request to come home a reality.
