Florine Tomlin Williams

WILLIAMS, Florine T., 93, wife of Earle M. Williams, Montgomery, AL, passed away at home on Tuesday, May 10, 2016. Mrs. Williams was born August 30, 1922, in Selma, AL. to the late J. Floyd and Carrie S. Tomlin, Florine attended schools in Selma until her senior year in high school when her father was transferred to Albany, GA, where she graduated in 1940. She attended Georgia State College for Women, Troy University, and Valdosta State University, where she graduated with a degree in Business Administration in June 1975. She earned her CPA on July 20, 1977. She then started her business in CPA in Georgia moving it to Alabama in later years. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Earle M. Williams and three children, Cheryl W. Abel of Albany, Ga; Max L. Williams of Houston, TX; and Wm. M. (Bill) Williams of Montgomery, AL along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Eastern Hills Baptist Church and a participant of the Adams/Beard Sunday School Class. Visitation will be held at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. A Graveside service will follow in Alabama Heritage Cemetery with Rev. Larry Armstrong officiating.
