

Geraldine (Gerry) Joyce Cadrette, age 84, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Monday, May 13th, 2024. She was born in Rome, New York on August 15th, 1939, to Gilbert and Doris Rogers.
Geraldine was always known to be a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved her family deeply and would always make sure that they knew just how cherished they were in her life. She also thoroughly enjoyed traveling with her husband of 49 years, Robert Cadrette. Together, they traveled all over the world, including living in the Republic of Panama as well as Japan. They also devoted their spare time and care to the Alcazar Shrine Organization in Montgomery, Alabama where they found a second family. Members of the Alcazar Shrine will be Pallbearers. Geraldine also enjoyed gardening and her single guilty pleasure, a hidden stash of Snickers, Black Licorice, and Whoppers.
Geraldine Joyce Cadrette is survived by her son, James Cadrette (Melinda); daughter, Linda Abbott (John); and her brother, Gilbert Thomas Rogers Jr. (Debbie); grandchildren, Mallory Richardson, Morgan Mason, and Christopher Brakefield; and her great-grandchildren, Conner and Lexi Brakefield, Lila Kate, Tessa, and William Richardson. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Robert William Cadrette; her parents, Gilbert Thomas Rogers and Doris Gertrude Klossner; and brother, Gary Rogers (survived by Linda Rogers).
A public visitation for Mrs. Cadrette will be held on Saturday, May 18th, 2024, at 11:00 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 12:00 PM, all to be held at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home and Cemetery; 10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, Alabama, with Steve Spinning officiating.
