

Gloria Lee Clements Spahr passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the age of 82. She was a beloved sister, aunt, mother and grandmother. She will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved her.
Gloria was born on February 2, 1942, in Montgomery, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Richard Spahr, her parents, Edgar Lee Clements and Margaret Freeman Clements Copeland, and her brother, Edward Adams Clements.
Gloria is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey Todd Stearns (Sharon), and Bradford Lee Stearns, her sister, Elizabeth Clements Smith, her grandchildren, Rachel (Colby) Hutto, Spencer (Mandy) Jay, and Jeremy (JT) Stearns, her nephew, Jim Helms, her niece, Michelle Jackson, and her two great-grandchildren.
Gloria was a lifelong resident of Montgomery, Alabama. She retired from the Alabama Department of Human Resources after many years of service. She attended and was a long-time member of Wares Ferry Road Baptist Church.
Gloria loved her family. She selflessly devoted herself to her children and grandchildren.
A visitation for Gloria will be held on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025, at 1:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life Graveside service at 2:00 PM at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home and Cemetery, 10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, AL, 36117.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of your choice.
